START WITH YOUR SITUATION

What happens on your screen?

Use one controlled comparison at a time. These are diagnostic steps, not confirmed fixes for every PC.

The game closes or crashes

Keep the exact error before trying changes.

  1. Record the last action and whether you were launching, loading or already playing.
  2. Finish pending game updates and verify installed files through Steam.
  3. Repeat the same steps once; record the result and how often it happens.

The picture or loading screen freezes

Record what is still running, not just the word “lag.”

  1. Note the exact screen, whether sound continues and whether the game responds to input.
  2. Record time spent waiting and whether it eventually recovers; do not assume a fixed timeout.
  3. Compare the same stage after an update/file check and keep any error text.

The game runs with uneven frames

A graphics comparison can help identify a pattern without proving a cause.

  1. Record resolution, graphics preset and your CPU, GPU and RAM.
  2. Change one available graphics option or lower resolution, then compare a similar scene.
  3. Keep the result, including no improvement. Do not promise a target FPS from minimum requirements.

My view is smooth; online players jump or disconnect

This pattern deserves a connection report as well as performance notes.

  1. Record who hosted, party size and which players were affected.
  2. Describe whether camera movement stayed smooth while other players moved in jumps.
  3. Use the connection checklist; the symptom by itself does not prove a server or network cause.

What the sources establish

Steam lists Windows 10/11, a 64-bit processor and OS, and DirectX 12. Its hardware requirements are a comparison point, not an FPS promise or a diagnosis. Steam also documents an installation-file verification procedure.

Sourced details and our suggested next steps follow. Linked reports are observations, not verified fixes.

01 Compare your PC with the current Steam listing

Checked 25 October: minimum CPU Intel Core i3-9100 or AMD Ryzen 5 3500; 8 GB RAM; GeForce GTX 1650 or Radeon RX 470. Recommended CPU Intel Core i9-11900K or Ryzen 9 5900X; 16 GB RAM; RTX 3070 or RX 6800 XT. Both list Windows 10/11 and DirectX 12. Compare your actual hardware with the live listing; meeting it does not rule out a game or driver problem.

02 Verify the installation through Steam

Close the game and let pending updates finish. In your Steam Library, open the game’s Properties → Installed Files → Verify integrity of game files. Wait for completion, then try the same reproduction steps. Steam notes that local configuration files can fail verification without indicating a broken installation. Avoid running multiple verifications or other intensive disk work at the same time.

03 When tutorial and normal play behave differently

Player report #838 describes the tutorial running but freezes in the hub and during play. It was marked Open when checked on 25 October. The title blames a low-end PC, but the report does not establish a hardware cause. Record the working scene and failing scene separately; “tutorial works, hub freezes when looking toward…” is more useful than “everything lags.”

04 Make a report the developer can reproduce

Use a short sequence: start the game → enter [mode] → do [action] → observe [result]. Add build, hardware, Windows version, graphics settings, host/joiner role, exact error and frequency. Follow the official board’s instructions if logs are requested. Remove private paths or account details from public screenshots.

05 When to stop repeating the same checks

If the same failure remains after a completed update, file check and one controlled retest, preserve the results and check the current bug board. Do not treat old beta issues as confirmed current bugs. This guide has no evidence for deleting saves, installing unofficial fix packages, changing registry values or a universal launch flag.
